Holy Man...

So, if you read the last blog entry I mentioned how the surgery went fine... no pain... eating well... so yesterday I went to the doctor and he took out the plastic retainer in my mouth.. THEN he proceeded to tell me that there was a big HOLE in my mouth and they had to take out bone and if I was not careful food might come out my nose... I almost fainted. I have a hole in my mouth. I talk funny. Eating is stressful. Well, I'm glad I didn't 'ANTICIPATE THIS' cause its freaky. I see why doctors withhold information until it is necessary, because they don't want you to start freaking out all at once... one step at a time, one palette removal at a time... whatever. At least the friggin tumor is gone. I wonder how long I will talk funny. I'm sure in a few days this new hole in my mouth will become my best friend. I'll be sticking my tounge and foreign objects up there... just cause... hey why not?

Goodbye Walnut!

So I had this benign tumor taken out of the roof of my mouth yesterday. I was soooo friggin scared, I really was. When I had the biopsy it hurt for like 2 1/2 weeks... hard to eat... I got depressed. So I got depressed this time BEFORE the surgery beucase I was anticipating it to hurt more!!! Here I am, post surgery, some plastic protector up there in my mouth... NO tumor... and I'm pain free. I have not even taken the codeine the doctor prescribed. I feel great!!! I'm so glad to have that nut out of there too!!! The point I'm trying to make here, the moral of this story, is that anticipation is sometimes the mighty battle. That being said, I'm sure had I had something removed from my stomach or my leg... or teeth extracted.. there would have been more pain. Maybe when they pull the plastic protector out of my mouth it will hurt... oh look at me anticipating pain again. Jeeps.

Anyway, now i'm gonna carry on with my day.

on a side note, I hate it when 'Private' callers call, and then don't leave a message. I mean, then you really don't know who called and it bugs me. Not even a 'hello' on the message... all I know is that this is a private person becuase they don't have their number or name listed on my phone... erk!

Fall is my favorite time of year. Last night I watched 'Blood Diamond'... one of the best movies I've seen in a long time!

There is stiill sooo much going on. Busy busy busy, but it's all good!
